Overview
The Model 262 offers a simple, low-cost solution to providing a voice paging connection between a telephone system and one zone of a voice paging/background music system. The unit is compatible with a wide variety of telephone and paging systems.
The Model 262 interfaces with a PBX system via a loop start or ground start trunk port, or with a key system via a central office line position. The audio output is connected to the line-level input of an audio amplifier. A "page enabled" relay contact is provided for general use. Features include LED indicator lights, universal powering (24 Vac,
–24 Vdc, or –48 Vdc), and simple wall-mounted installation. Connections are made using a 9-position terminal strip.
The Model 262 is appropriate for installations where sonic quality is not an issue. Gordon Kapes, Inc. recommends the MZ-1 Page Controller for installations that can benefit from superior audio performance and an array of additional features.
